As a result, those who start a construction of a house or a commercial structure and leave it unfinished along the way, could face sanctions from the public authorities including heavy fines and even the withdrawal of their construction permit.

Under the new stringent regulations, those who undertake the illicit or anarchical construction of a house without having the necessary legal documents will be fined between 100.000 dinars and 1 million dinars and could also face a prison sentence of up to 2 years.
