Algerian Government to not subsidize next pilgrimage seasons
Minister of religious affairs and wakf “Bouabdellah Ghoulamellah†confirmed, in a press conference Saturday in Algiers, Algerian pilgrims will pay only 28 million centimes for pilgrimage season 2008.

He explained that government’s subvention will reach 50 percent after increases in costs and prices.

Religious minister said on the sidelines of the sixth national meeting of the religious girl guides “Government will pay 4,000 Algerian dinars for each pilgrim as food costs and 6,000 DA for catering which means 10,000 DA because of the 30 percent of increases in pilgrimage costs.
