Algerian head coach calls on a Swiss expert ahead of the World Cup.

The Algerian national coach Rabah Saadane, has decided to appoint the Swiss physical coach, Michel among his staff during the World Cup competition due to take place in South Africa next June, sources close to the technical staff revealed.

• The Swiss expert’s main task will consist in preparing the players physically during this tournament. He will forward daily reports on the players’ physical form to the head coach and the team’s doctor Boughali.
• Rabah Saadane is very enthusiastic to the idea of hiring the expert on account of the good relationships that exist between the two men, though he didn’t seal the deal yet.
•  Different parties have tried in the past to pressure to impose a French assistant, but Saadane has turned down all the proposals insisting that the question of the assistant was part of his prerogatives.
• For his part, the president of the Algerian Football federation, Mohammed Raouraoua has reiterated his total support to the head coach Rabah Saadane and his technical staff and expressed his will to extend their contract beyond the World Cup competition.
• He seized this opportunity to congratulate the head coach Saadane for the excellent performances registered by the Greens in the latest African cup of Nations tournament.
• Rabah Saadane has indicated that Algeria squad has made a very good showing at the African Cup of Nations in Angola, especially that the players have played six matches in a row and that makes a good preparation for the upcoming World Cup.
