Algerian Housing Minister confirms need to build modern methods for conducting real estates
Beneficiaries from participations houses should pay maintenance and charges expenses as they did for rented sales formula.
Algerian Minister of Housing and Urbanism Noureddine Moussa said his department’s cabinet decided to adopt new methods to operate and maintain properties through developing special conducting property institutions likely to adopt policies that go with the housing lines created by government.

The minister of housing and urbanism told Echorouk during a press meeting organized on the eve of the international forum on the real estates management that financial resources problem remains the most important obstacle to the housing hangar and generally real estates maintenance operation. He added that facts available to him confirm that more than 60 percent promotion and real estates management evade from their expenses payment.

On the other hand, Moussa talked about less than 40 percent of citizens who occupy social rental houses should pay rent and charges costs, which blocked the maintenance operation of property.

In this context, the ministry of housing and urbanism organized an international forum that would bring experts together from many countries in order to check their experiences in managing and maintaining real estates. Participants are experts from France, UAE, Qatar and Jordan. Officials at Noureddine Moussa’s ministry bet on the participants’ recommendations in the forum to formulate a strategy designed to ensure meaningful and effective functioning of the housing hangar.

Moussa added that management institutions will take into account the housing formula adopted by the government. He highlighted that Algeria enters into this experience through the management agency which was created by the National Agency for developing and promoting housing “ADL” imposing this formula on the beneficiaries.
