Algerian Illegal Workers Granted 30 Days to Settle Social Situation in Italy

Italian authorities graned the opportunity to the Algerian illegal immigrants and many other countries, to settle their situations on its territories from the light of nextSeptember, in a condition that each illegal immigrant depositd a law suit against the employer who works illegally and without documents and who did not declare his employeees at the services of social security.

Left-leaning Italian newspaper “La Repubblica” said that the Interior Ministry identified the next first of September to begin the process of settling the status of illegal immigrants, who are working illegally and who are not declared by employers at the services of social security, as the operation will last 30 days until the end of September, and which is called the “activated repentance”, and the illegal immigrant who is working illegally will have the opportunity to get a job and residence permit for six months, extendable for another year, if he reported on the employer who illegally hired him.

This step comes as the culmination of the Government Decree issued by the Council of Ministers on last July 6, which approved the tightening of sanctions and doubled punishment on employers who hire illegal immigrants without licence and without declaring them to the services of social security.
