Algerian kids injected with Israeli medicine in hospitals

Security and administrative investigations found that patients of various ages, mostly kids, were injected with a dangerous and complex drug which wad imported from Israel and called “Factor n• 08”.
This drug was injected on people with haemophilia, and costs 130.000 ZDZ, supported by the state. It is composed of two little bottles, the first contains a dry powder and the second is a sterilised water for injection, which validity will end on 2014. The box which contains a needle read on its back ” made in Israel” MIX2VIAL and the phone number of the producing company. It is middle sized and carried the name Vectan 100 ml/IU, while the medical notice inside it was written in Farsi.
The drug is prepared medically and injected in the patients nerve at hospital, and it cannot be given without medical authorisation by a specialist in the diseases of blood thinners.
Some patients called for the opening of investigations on this imported drug to punish the people implicated in thus case, as their fears raise due to the complications.
Echorouk data show that 21 patients aged between 6 and 35 years were injected with this drug in the hospital of Mouhamed Boudiaf in Ouergla, southern Algeria, during the past two months, in addition to hundreds of patients in other hospitals because the drug was distributed on a widely, as it was distributed on february and March from Algiers central pharmacy them from the regional directorate of Biskra, southern Algeria.
Echorouk sources said that the drug was distributed in Algiers, central and eastern hospitals, which requires the launch of a ministerial and security inquiry on the party which imported it, and that which allowed distribution to medical structures to inject the patients , especially since they are suffering unstable health situations and are facing death.
Echorouk verified a sample of this drug and the source of its production, as specialists confirmed that the drug is used for protection from the recurrent bleeding that is resulted from the lack of genetic factor 8 or acquired.
The drug contains the remains of the human protein, so patients should be informed early, as a result of the excessive reactions.
Contraindications of this drug are, the severe allergies due to affective materials and substances, that are used in the composition of the drug, and the spread of vascular thrombosis “Dyke” or an increase in solubility and biodegradation of the “Fibrin”, and these complications lead to death.
An official, who refused to say his name, working at the management of Mouhamed Boudiaf hospital in Ouergla, southern Algeria, revealed that this Israeli imported drug for haemophilia patients was discovers lately, and the governor was informed along with health manager, and the latter sent a detailed report to the Health Minister, but he did not take an action until now, as the ministry did not send a commission for inquiry on this case, and the central pharmacy in Algiers decided to contact the hospital’s administration asking for retrieving the drug.
Same source added that patients were injected with the Israeli drug during the mentioned period, asserting that no complications were registered until now, and the hospital’s administration is currently working to replace it with another drug to protect them.
