A married woman from the province of Ghilizane, west Algeria, has illegally travelled to Spain in the company of four of her children on a boat from the shores of Oran and found herself stuck in the city of Melilla in precarious conditions.

The lady was forced to pay 350 thousand Algerian Dinars after selling her marital house in order to reach the other side of the Mediterranean Sea.

Her husband has lodged a complaint at the court of Ghilizane considering that his wife has ruined his life and took away from his four children aged 18, 14, 8 and 4.

The plaintiff has indicated that he was awestruck when he came back home and found his house empty and his family away. Moreover, he added, his wife took 2.5 million Algerian Dinars representing the amount of the selling of his house.

The lady, his husband added, was helped by a woman from the province of Oran who is in close contact with the illegal immigrants and gave her the sum of 350 thousand Algerian Dinars in exchange for reaching the Spanish shores.

He has recently received a telephone call from his elder daughter informing him that the family is living in precarious conditions and they are prone to starvation and danger in the city of Melilla.
