Algerian migrants in France mobilised to keep up evangelisation in Algeria

Evangelisers are recruiting Algerian migrants living in France in evangelisation campaigns in Algeria, Echorouk has learnt.The evangelisers use new methods as the noise was tightened on them in Algeria. They give parcels of sweets, perfumes, some clothes, the bible and evangelisation-related video tapes to Algerian migrants coming from Algeria to France.

• A copy in Arabic and French contains 9 questions on Jews and Jesus.
• The questionnaire asks for impression on the book and how much it influences the one who reads it. The answers must be sent to an address without revealing any association or organisation, just a postal box.
• Some Algerian families living in French suburbs said they received the parcels and the questionnaire. Many of them answered it as they were curious or wanted to get a return for it.
• Migrant families told Echorouk some Algerian migrant women paid visits to poor areas, students and illegal migrants to offer them money in return for joining evangelisation associations.
• According to the families, the evangelisation associations carry out secrete investigations on them to exploit their situation and convince them in their offers.
• Evangelisation associations in France recruited people in difficult situation, said corroborating sources.
• “Sometimes, whole Algerian families convert to Christianity and change their names.”
• A security official told Echorouk that security forces are mobilised to implement the law and put all suspects under surveillance.
• According to an official at the National Gendarmerie command, investigations are going on in this issue on the basis of information on evangelisation acts in many areas.
