Algerian minister warns of irregularities in Baccalaureate

A well informed source revealed that the during the meeting held yesterday in camera which brought together the education minister, Abu Bakr Ben Bouzid and the committee in charge of the elaboration of the baccalaureate exams, this one launched a strong warning against the head of this institution as to any mistake in the topics proposed during the exams.

The minister met with the committee in charge of supervising the baccalaureate exams for more than 5 hours in one of Algiers ’ high schools, in which assessments were presented to him stating that the academic year program has been fulfilled at a respectable degree in most of the regions countrywide.

He insisted on the importance of providing all the facilities for the students in the different exam centers so as to prepare them psychologically for this important event. For instance, the southern regions known for its high temperatures at that period of time, will be equipped with air conditioning in every exam center.

More than 500 thousand students are set to examine this year and the authorities took the challenge make it tally with the international standards.
