Algerian Ministry of Education opens investigation on Algerian students’ graduations in Egypt
Sources close to the cabinet of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research told Echorouk that the Ministry will open investigation on the terms of graduation and its compliance with the conditions established in the Algerian universities.

The Ministry of Education and Scientific Research previously stopped, in a special instruction last week end, a decision to refuse any graduation from the Arab Institute for Research in Cairo, after protests by Algerian students living in Cairo having the same graduation, in front of the Algerian embassy in Cairo, against the decision to cancel their graduations.

Directors of academic institutions told Echorouk that the conditions which are applied on Algerians in Algeria “must be applicable in order to help students obtain masters and doctorate”.

It was said that schools and institutes, with various specializations outside Algeria granted masters with the amount of $1600.

In addition to that, Echorouk received data by students’ representatives protesting against the resolution, confirming that the decision by the Ministry of Education is a clear violation of law and flagrant violation of the constitution and the republic, maintaining the Algerian Ministerial decision of May 13, 1984 on the masters graduation from the Arab Institute of Research in Cairo, established by the University of Arab States, and begun working in November 1st 1953.
