Algerian old woman travelled with 14 illegal immigrants to Greece

Turkish people, belonging to a professional network for smuggling humans use pseudonyms. Algerian “B.A” told Echorouk; “The Turkish network sent one of its members, who told us about the date of the journey towards Greece. He said we have to pay 1500 euros. We gave him money then we started our journey from Istanbul towards Greece. We were accompanied by an unknown guide, who ordered us to keep things secret”.

The Algerian illegal immigrants suffered since their arrival to Greece. They were obliged to hide in a forest, because they were living a continuous fear.

A 60 year-old women from Guelma locality, east of Algeria, insisted on travelling with the 14 Algerian illegal immigrants, after she was expelled from France because she did not have residence there. Despite she was old and suffering psychological and health difficulties, she walked along 40 miles accompanied by the 14 Algerians, and crossed a dangerous forest where wild animals.

When the 15 Algerians tried to infiltrate the Greece city “Alexander pole”, they were surprised by the Greek border guards, who arrested them immediately.

They were arrested by the Greek security and transferred to Turkey where they told the authorities that they were victims of a smuggling humans’ network.

They were jailed 15 days by the Turkish justice, and when asked about the reason behind their adventure they said they are Palestinians who tried to flee the Zionist machine. They were sure that the Turkish authorities will not expel them from Turkey. They remained two months in Istanbul, searching for a job, but they failed and decided finally to return back to Algeria.
