Numerous Algerian political and national figures agreed to assert that the resumption of publishing by the French satirical newspaper “Charlie Hebdo” of blasphemous cartoons depicting the lofty Prophet of Islam Mohamed, God’s peace and blessings be upon him, might prompt reasonable Muslims to extremism, saying that if such a blameworthy newspaper believed it didn’t offend Islam and the Muslims it is totally wrong, because God Almighty always makes his sacred religion triumph with the wholehearted involvement of all the truly balanced Muslims worldwide in line with the relevant verses of the holy Koran.

These personalities firmly castigated France for tolerating such a nefarious drift which will only increase the divide between religions while speaking of the need to create a balance between its citizens many of whom are Muslims.

Abdellaziz Belkhadem: “You have to shore him up and Allah, God Almighty, made him triumph”: It’s enough for me!

Former Algerian Prime Minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem’s spoke out in support of the Prophet Mohamed, God’s peace and blessings be upon him, and said in a statement to Echorouk: “We tell the Muslims from Arab and non-Arab communities that the holy Koran shored up the noble Prophet of Islam in the chapter 40 of Repentance by saying: ” You have to shore him up because Allah, God Almighty, gave him victory”. Belkhadem said that this holy verse of the Koran was enough for him as a comment firmly condemning the newspaper’s blasphemous cartoons.

Abujara Soltani:  “The renewed publishing of the blasphemous cartoons is tantamount to a criminal deed which will drive the level-headed Muslims to extremism”

The former leader of the MSP movement, Soltani Abujara, said that the renewed publishing by the “Charlie Hebdo” newspaper of the blasphemous cartoons excoriating the holy Prophet of Islam, God’s peace and blessings be upon him, is an unacceptable provocation to the innermost feelings of one billion and 800 million Muslims across the world.

Soltani told “Echorouk” that the cartoons published in the past could fetch some freedom of expression, but their renewed posting is a premeditated and criminal offence and could prompt a lot of wise people to extremes. He added that one must distinguish clearly between the error accepted by an apology, and the dogged and wanton provocation against all the free and well-meaning people in the world.

Ali Benflis: “The renewed publishing of the vile cartoons by the French weekly magazine “Charlie Hebdo” doesn’t serve the goal of combating terrorism”

The former Algerian Prime Minister and candidate for the 2014 Presidential  election, Ali Benflis affirmed that insulting our lofty Prophet, God’s  peace and blessings be upon him, and our religion of Islam deeply  hurts the feelings of Muslims wherever they may be in the world, stressing these cartoons are vile and unacceptable practices which can’t be condoned or tolerated.

“Therefore, any prejudice to the religion of Islam affects our Muslim identity and the nobility of our faith, adding that the renewed posting of such blasphemous cartoons would not serve the overall struggle against the scourge of terrorism”, he further underscored.

The Former Prime Minister  also stated that “the blameworthy cartoons resumed this week in France and elsewhere do not serve the fight against this scourge, and it is not at all within the convergence project, of understanding and solidarity between human beings who seek to transcend the adverse conflicts of civilizations, religions and ethnicities. “

Bouabdallah Ghoulamallah: “Muslims worldwide are outraged at the renewed publishing by the “Charlie Hebdo” newspaper of the blasphemous cartoons insulting the noble Prophet of Islam”

The former Algerian Minister of religious affairs and endowments Bouabdallah Ghoulamallah, told “Echorouk” that the Islamic nation is outraged over the continued French newspaper’s publication of low-down drawings wantonly insulting the holy Prophet Mohamed, God’s peace and blessings be upon him, stressing if this newspaper believes that its provocative drawings would prevent the spread of the religion of Islam, such a notion is wrong as countless Muslim believers in the four corners of the globe won’t stop calling and lauding the name and lofty deeds of the Prophet of Islam Mohamed, God’s peace and blessings be upon him,  and always siding wholeheartedly with him as enjoined by Allah, God Almighty, in His holy Book, the Koran.

Moussa Touati: “The publication of cartoons insulting the Prophet of Islam, God’s peace and blessings be upon him, is a wanton provocation… and such a despicable provocation is worse than killing”

In a declaration to “Echorouk”, The Secretary-General of the Algerian National Front Party, Moussa TOUATI, has hit out against the decision taken by those behind the newspaper “Charlie Hebdo” to go ahead with the resumption of the publishing of the blasphemous cartoons insulting the Prophet of Islam Mohamed, God’s peace and blessings be upon, as a wanton provocation to all Muslims worldwide, adding that such a vile and massive provocation is worse than killing.

Touati firmly condemned such grave offenses committed against the deep values of peoples characterized by such blasphemous cartoons which remain utterly unacceptable whatever their authors’ religion, he emphas

He further  pointed out that those who brandish as a lame excuse the alleged  freedom of expression know very well that freedom ends where another one’s begins, so terrorism, he added, is not only sheer murder but also a  smashing of the spirituality of others, believing that the problem is not with the Christians themselves but with the Jews “The sons of Israel”, who committed the worst evils in this world by notably murdering, way back in time, Prophets and Apostles”.
