Algerian pilot Lotfi Raissi in Echorouk forum

Algerian pilot, Lotfi Raissi, wrongly accused by British justice of having trained individuals who perpetrated the September 2001 terror attacks in the US asserted in Echorouk Forum: “I want an apology from the British authorities even if my case would last for twenty years. I thought there was justice and I was insulted, however; this gave me power to insist on apology from the British Justice Minister. I offer this apology for all Algerians”.

  • “Apology from the British Justice Minister is primarily a nine years struggle. I’m tired but I was sure of my innocence and I was ready to wait for justice decision even after twenty years”, he adds.
  •
  • “What I experienced, suffered, lived with my wife and all my family is unforgettable. Apology will never erase this past. I will never forgive them”.
  •
  • Raissi spoke about years in prison, since the moment he was detained and accused as a terrorist, until his release, he said: “I did not care about financial compensation, even if they offered me billions. I want to ask them a question. Could you compensate a nine years in hell with a sum of money? I was 27 when they insulted me through insisting on the charge presenting flimsy evidence, however; justice decided that I’m not guilty simply because I was wronged”.
  •
  • “I always knew that Allah stands by his wronged people, as I insisted to defend my cause and Raissi’s name until the last breath”.
  •
  • “Jack Straw’s apology is a gift to all Algerians, it’s not personal. He’ll apologize to a simple Algerian citizen from Bab El Oued in Algiers”.
  •
  • “Apology from the British Justice Minister will be public in the presence of media which will talk about the first Arab Muslim and Algerian to receive an apology from a British official. This Algerian was accused of terrorism and living with a doubtful name”.
  • “Congratulations to all Algerians and not to Lotfi Raissi”, he concluded.
