Algerian PM issues directives for various Ministries to ensure revival of national economy

The chairman of the National Social and Economic Council- CNES- has revealed that the Algerian Head of Government Ahmed Ouyahia has issued firm guidelines urging the various ministerial departments to ensure the implementation of the overall strategy aimed at salvaging the National economy.  

• The CNES chairman Mohamed Seghir Babes said on Thursday in Algiers that the National Social and Economic Council would submit to the executive body a “roadmap” on the most appropriate socio-economic strategy likely to rejuvenate the National economy.
• He indicated that the relevant document would be conveyed to the decision-makers as early as next November 2008.
• According to the CNES chairman, this newly-devised strategy should be upheld by all the sectors of activity, be they public or private, with a view to fostering a fresh dynamics designed to spur Algeria’s ongoing development efforts in the socio-economic arena.
