Algerian President Bouteflika to meet French President Sarkozy in Japan: Elysee

Elysee palace Saturday announced that French President Nicolas Sarkozy will hold talks with his Algerian counterpart president Abdelaziz Bouteflika the annual G8 Summit scheduled for July 7-9 in Japan.

• The French presidency said in a statement that Sarkozy will hold talks on Monday afternoon with Algerian president Bouteflika who still refuses to announce his attitude towards his participation in the MU summit due to be held in Paris on the 13th of July.
• The same statement said Sarkozy will hold bilateral talks on Wednesday with the Chinese President Hu Jintao.

• Sarkozy will announce in the meeting whether he is intending to visit Beijing to attend the opening ceremony of the forthcoming Olympic Games on August 8th.
