Algerian Former Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia said President Bouteflika honoured him to represent him.

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika suggested at UN Security Council meeting last week reviewing the systems of funding regional and subregional organisations. “As soon as Algeria gets the approval of the Security Council, peacekeeping operation in Africa must benefit from the same privileges offered by the UN as part of providing an appropriate and regular fund,” said Algerian former Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia.  Ouyahia who read President Bouteflika’s remarks said the president had honoured him to represent him. “President Bouteflika expresses his apology for not attending the meeting due to his busy national agenda.” “It is time now to institutionalise the funding issue,” said Ouyahia.President Bouteflika said the African Union can confirm the prestige and credibility of the UN Council in its supervision of regional initiatives.“Thus, the initiatives would be managed within clear objectives, efficiency of means and better profitability; which would satisfy all the international community.”
