Algerian president vetoes the “fatwa house “project presented by minister
Several messages sent in the past by the religious affairs minister to the president and the prime minister regarding the creation of a “Fatwa House†in Algeria, were vetoed by this later because it clashes with the prerogatives of the existing Supreme Islamic Council.

Because the project didn’t raise the president’s interest since the date of its release in 2003, the religious affairs minister, Abdellah Ghoulam Allah was obliged to twice or three times to the president in order to explain the legal situation of this new institution.
