Algerian president warns his ministers against extravagance and money squandering
Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has warned his government against wasting the state’s funds, drawing the attention of the executive branch to the need to rationalize expenditures and exercise more control over how these funds must be disbursed and to put an end to abuses and indiscriminated programming of projects, considering the ministers as accountable for the correct implementention of these programs and respect the deadlines.

The president rose his tone during the hearing of the draft about the Finance Act of 2009, in his meeting with the ministers on Saturday, saying : The public balance reached heavy amounts compared with the real capabilities of Algeria, where the expenditures which were planned on 2009 will reach nearly 80 billion dollars; and the management budget is the equivalent of 40 billion dollars, confirming that the budget of the next year will be financed without any doubt thanks to the resources available in the fund control incums.
