Algerian women entrepreneurs on the rise on the trade market

More than 100 thousand businesswomen were issued a trade register over the year 2010, the head of the trade registers department Chetiteh Zehoua, noting that estimates reveal 1.4 million new trade registers since the beginning of the year.

• Mrs Chetiteh has asserted that the number of businesswomen in Algeria makes 3% of the total number of the companies’ managers noting that 90% among them operate in various sectors of activities.

• She has noted that the Algerian women managers have succeeded to penetrate the business world in all the sectors especially the economic one. Businesswomen marked their presence in the retailing sector at a level of 45% and services at 30%.

• Mrs Chetiteh has called on the Algerian women to take part more aggressively in the Algerian job market especially the graduated ones because, as she put it, non one can stand for their right apart themselves.
