Algerian World Cup team arrives at Durban in South Africa

The Algerian World Cup team 2010 arrived at King Shaka International Airport in Durban on June 7, 2010; in order to take part in the 2010 World Cup that will take place in South Africa fstarting rom June 11 to July 11, the first time on African soil for the biggest and most prestigious competition in sport.
- The Desert Warriors travelled from Munich on board of an aircraft belonging to Air Algeria decorated with the National colours and the World Cup trophy in which is was written “One, Two, Three, Viva L’Algérie”.
- The Algerian delegation, consisting of 50 persons, including 23 players, technical and medical crew, arrived in Durban after twelve hours flight.
- Local authorities of Kwazulu Natal locality, where the Algerian delegation will reside, together with representatives from the International Federation of Football and Algerian Ambassador to Pretoria, as well as Algerian Football Federation head Mohamed Raouraoua, prepared a good reception for the Desert Warriors.
- Immediately after taking normal procedures at the airport, the local authorities prepared a banquet in honour of the Desert Warriors, who moved to the city of San Lamer, 120 km from Durban, where the Hotel Mondazur, place of residence.
- Algeria will play in the Group C along with England, USA and Slovenia.
