Algerian youth and sports minister calls for reason pending the match versus Egypt

The Algerian sports minister Al Hechmi Djiar has declared that he will be among the Algerian delegation that will move to Cairo in order to attend the match between Algeria and Egypt counting for the world Cup qualifiers slated for November 14.

• Talking in the sports program “ Kora with Shoubir” recorded her in Algiers, the minister has asserted that he is expecting a warm welcome from the Egyptians as it was the case her in Algeria in the away match, where the Egyptians were defeated 3-1.
• There are wise men and our relationship will not be affected:
• The Algerian minister seized the opportunity to recall that the relationships between the Algerian and Egyptian people are excellent and will not be affected by a football match saying” We are aware that there several wise voices which are calling for easing tension, here and there, and we have to give them a hand to fulfil this noble message”.
• We will stand against the trouble makers:
• Al Hachemi Djiar called for tempering the discourse “ we know that there are some parties who are working for spreading hatred but we will not let them do so and we will stand against anyone who will try to impact on the good relationships which exist between Algeria and Egypt, and we count on the Egyptian authorities to take the appropriate measures because it’s absurd that relationships between two brother states could be tarnished by mere football match”, he put it.
• We are bothers… and we will still:
• The minister went on saying that the relationships between the two countries will not be affected by the outcome of the match “ The result of the match could have an impact on the fans because each side needs to enter history, but I assert that the excellent relationships between the two peoples will not be affected and we will still be brothers as we ere in the past”.
• We won’t accept insults against the Algerian symbols:
• The minister has insisted that he will not accept any form of insults against the Algerian revolution or any other symbol of the Algerian state hinting to some excesses from the Egyptian side” I consider  the attacks on the Algerian symbols and its history as a kind of charlatanism which will not help both sides”.
• Al Hachemi Djiar has also called on the media to play a positive role this time around and take part in the process of rapprochement initiated by the authorities. He insisted that the media have an important role to play in easing tension between the fans “ I’m proud of the Algerian media that didn’t hurt the Egyptian symbols and its history” he said.
