Algiers Symposium on ANP’s salient participation in Arab-Israeli wars

- The symposium was held as part of the festivities commemorating the 50th anniversary of Algeria’s hard-won independence on July 5th 1962 in the presence of a host of senior military officers including the Army Chief of staff Lt General Salah Gaid.
- Lectures were read out outlining the important phases of the lofty itinerary of the National Popular Army (ANP) which has always upholded just causes with notably its salient participation alongside other brotherly Arab Armies in the 1967 and 1973 wars aimed at facing up to Israel’s aggressive and expansionist policies.
- A documentary film dealing with the ANP’s feats and achievements was also projected during this historical symposium.
