Algiers University: 30,000 new students this year

The administration of Algiers University raised its capacity to receive 30,000 new students this year at a time success in the Baccalaureate exam reached high figures.

“In light of significant success rate this year and volume of demands to enrol at Algiers University, we are ready this year to receive 30,000 new students including 5,000 who are expected to enrol in Licence Master Doctorate (LMD) system. We are waiting for more numbers as well,” Professor Ahmed Ben Raghda, Vice superintendent of Algiers University in charge of pedagogical affairs, told Echorouk.

He said Algiers University is considered as the largest scientific and highest educational environment where the number of enrolled students approximately reached 120,000 students.

“A total of 15,000 students graduated in the season of 2007/2008.
