Ali Benflis: “I am an active politician and I will announce my position of Presidential Elections Soon”

Former Prime Minister, Ali Benflis, avoids talking about the subject of his candidacy for the 2014 Presidential Elections, until the emergence of news in the matter.

Benflis only asserted that he is one of the political men who are active in the country, and that the public will know his position soon.

After the silence that lasted ten years he said: “It is not moral to take this occasion to talk about politics and political issues”, disappointing hopes of his supporters who commented on his statements on Saturday at the Hilton Hotel, hoping for his announcement to run for the Presidential Elections, or at least register his positions of the developments in the political arena.

Benflis did not find answers to the journalists’ questions on Saturday, who focused on his position of the next Presidential Elections, and only said: “I am an active politician in the political scene; you’ll find my political position soon”. 

While his speech carried political aims, as he stopped several times at the messages that he wanted to pass, in both English and French, along the lines of what he said about amending the political life and justice reform, in order to establish justice, fairness and spread hope for the Algerians.
