Minister of Public Works, Amar Ghoul, asked the national and private institutions,operating in his sector, to prepare a set of proposals for the procedures of the law in public transactions’ application, as they can get their shares, particularly after the rise of companies which reached 4000 national institutions, after they were 600 in 2003.

• Amar Ghoul confirmed that his sector’s program could hold this large number of institutions and offices of studies which reached 560 bureaus after they were only 100, particularly since the new number allowed the creation of 5000 new jobs.

• Amar Ghoul held a the meeting with the general managers of the national and private institutions to assess the situations of the means of achievement working in the sector.

• “I will involve all those having any project in the sector within the framework of the draft law on public works, as the legal framework that will identify the responsibilities of the partners and calling them to work together in order to improve and develop their performance. Steps which were undertaken by the national institutions gave them the experience of dealing with the large projects, thing which allows them to sign partnership contracts with each others and get rid of the foreign companies”.

• The minister expressed his readiness to open the sector for the small enterprises, viewing them as a priority at the present time; “The completed projects need new expertise in the field of maintenance, equipment and preparation of traffic signals and it is an opportunity for the youngsters to establish their own enterprises as a new area of investment which ensures a good future”.
