Angola coach José Manuel: “For us, the Africa Cup of Nations kicks off now”

The Angolan team coach José Manuel has told a press conference in Luanda after the Angola-Algeria fixture that for him and his line-up, the Africa Cup of Nations tournament is kicking off now for real in expectation of the decisive quarter-finals slated for January 24th.  

• He said that his players had faced tremendous difficulties versus the seasoned Algerians who proved to be very dangerous, notably during the second half of the game.
• José Manuel expressed the hope that some of his injured players would be fit again shortly in order to be incorporated in the Angolan line-up during their forthcoming quarter-final match versus either Ivory Coast, Burkina Fasso or Ghana.
• He underlined that his players would pull out all the stops on the pitch to win the upcoming quarter-final game despite the intricacy of the task in store.
