AQIM leader orders his men to head for Mali

The leader of Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, Al Qaeda wing in North Africa, Abdelmalek Droudkel , notoriously known as “ Abu Mosaab Abdelouadoud” has instructed his troops stationed nearby Mali to head toward the West African country in order to take part in the battles against the French forces and their African allies deployed in Northern Mali.

The orders came following the military assaults carried out by the French forces to dislodge the terrorist groups backed by Anssar Eddine that held sway on swaths of lands in the northern parts of Mali .

As part of the all-out fight against terrorism, the Algerian authorities have tightened security on the borders to avoid the infiltration of the terrorist groups and curb their activities.

Following intelligence that a number of terrorists are set to leave their strongholds in northern Algeria heading for the Malian region of Azawad, the Algerian military forces have intensified their combing operations that wound with the interception of two four –wheel drive cars carrying four terrorists.
