Arab investments in Algeria reach 60 percent of overall foreign investments

The Industry and Investment promotion minister Abdelhamid Temmar has said that the volume of Arab investments in Algeria have exceeded 5O percent of the overall foreign investments here.

This tendency in Arab investments promotion was recorded as early as 2001 when non-Arab investments were predominant in Algeria , he said.

The Minister indicated in this connection that the value of the overall Arab investments here in Algeria was expected to reach about 19 billion dollars, quoting estimates issued by the national investment promotion agency.

Hamid Temmar estimated the total turnover of Arab investors in Algeria at 524 billion dinars between the years 2001 and 2007.

He said that 264 Arab investment projects in manifold sectors of activity had been launched with success in various parts of the country over the past 6 years.
