Armed Forces Foil an Attempt to Smuggle Explosives from Libya
Algerian armed forces foiled, during a patrol in the desert interval between Illizi and Ouergla (south of Algeria), an attempt to smuggle fertilizers, that were brought from Lybia in order to be used in manufacturing explosives.
According to Echorouk sources, the military forces, during their a patrol, monitored a truck pf the Algerian “Man” type, and intercepted it. After the arrest of the driver, security forces found over 30 quintals of sulfur that were brought from Libya, in order to be sold to terrorist groups, after the legalization of its marketing in Algeria, for being included in manufactoring explosives and bombs.
The same sources added that the Algerian armed forces stopped arrested the Algerian driver in possession of a rifle and large quantities of live ammunition, then he was taken to the headquarters of a security team in order to complete the procedures of investigation.
