Algerian TV has reached a final agreement with the Arab Radio and Television regarding the sale of broadcasting rights for the matches of the Algerian championship and the Cup of Republic over the upcoming four years, reliable sources told Echorouk.

• According to the same sources, the TV network which is owned by Sheikh Saleh Kamel will pay a large amount of money in order to get exclusive broadcast of the Algerian matches.

• Information which was obtained by Echorouk said the agreement was signed between the Saudi billionaire Mohyeddine Saleh Kamel and the Algerian television during his visit to Algeria earlier this week.

• ART TV network will benefit from a special privilege which is programming the most important matches in Algeria that attracted a large number of people through broadcasting them at night according to the channel desire. What is unique is that ART will exclusively broadcast these matches at the expense of the Algerian television.

• Under this contract, the Algerian Football Federation will get a large proportion of the financial returns, and the Algerian TV will also get the same amount of money; however the Algerian clubs will share the amount according to the number of matches that will broadcasted for each club.

• Official declaration will happened during a ceremony in Algiers before the upcoming Ramadan; coinciding with the launching of “ART Maghreb” which will consider the problems of the Maghreb countries.

• What is exceptional this time is that ART will not only broadcast the matches but will program weekly analysis from Algeria to be animated by the coach Khalef Mohyeddine and the Algerian football icon Lakhdar Beloumi as well as a group of Algerian journalists.
