Attempt to smuggle 200,000 Euros at Algeria Airport foiled
Sources confirmed to Echorouk that customs forces at Algiers International Airport, Houari Boumediene foiled an attempt to smuggle 200,000 Euros.

The money was hidden inside a passenger’s luggage and another sum was found in the bag of a suspect passenger.

The same sources said this passenger had been caught upon information released Tuesday.

Investigation involved a police commissioner on the basis of a camera tape.

Available information with Echorouk revealed that customs seized 400,000 Euros in 2007 in various operations. More than one million Euros in 2006 were seized as well, which is the biggest amount ever been seized.
