Bad weather and snowfall of the recent days, caused a money liquidity crisis in most of the post offices, especially in the isolated villages and countrysides which are blocked by snow, and prevented access of trucks for transferring funds, as services of gendarmerie conducted more than 500 interventions for citizens across roads, and 400 interventions to relief the needy in nine Wilayas.

The crisis of cash liquidity reached the centers and post offices of several cities, east of the country, and some wilayas of the center due to the inability of trucks of transferring funds, to reach these wilayas, because of the blocked roads due to torrential rains and snowfall, which sparked a wave of resentment among citizens who suffered a lot to get   money from their accounts.
Special meteorological bulletin issued by Gendarmerie, asserted that its elements conducted field interventions in 11 wilayas that were isolated by snow, and traffic cut off them in 10 national routes and 17 regional routes, linking the east, west and center, as the units of the National Gendarmerie registered 500 intervention cases through different hubs and roads, and more than 400 interventions to protect persons, properties and relief citizens at the level of nine cities, as Setif, recorded 180 interventions through the Roads and Transport, and 32 interventions to protect persons and save citizens in relief.
According to the same bulletin, at the level of the roads, Gendarmerie units used several fixed and mobile reams, by harnessing human potential and equipment of the regional teams, sub-battalions and security teams in roads, as well as the potential for intervention units across difficult axes and routes, and black points, in order to organize and facilitate the movement of traffic and routing users to the open roads.
Green number 1055 noticed on the first day of bad weather, which paralyzed traffic and isolated villages and countrysides, a high record in citizens’ calls who ask for help, particularly with regard to the transfer of pregnant women to hospitals, as elements of the gendarmerie saved the life of many pregnant women and elderly, who suffer chronic diseases via cars of Gendarmerie to transfer them to hospitals.
In a related context, services of the national gendarmerie across all wilayas, which were cut off by snow, planned preventive scheme for the distribution of gas bottles, and deliver them to people directly, in order to avoid repetition of last year’s scenario, when speculation and storage for re-sale of butane gas reached high record levels.
