Bad weather:Special Bulletin to face torrential rains across nine cities, emergency in chaotic neighborhoods

Concerns of citizens returned to the fore with the approach of winter season, which has become a curse rather than a blessing to those living in chaotic tin and old houses, because of the continuing neglect by the local authorities, which in spite of a repeated scenario of floods in different areas, but that did not take into consideration the mobilization of efforts to take various preventive measures to cope with such natural disasters, which exacerbated in recent years, as a result of what is known as the global warming.

Considerable rainfall volume is expected to reach high levels (50 ml) in less than 24 hours across Nine Wilayas.

Services of meteorology, contacted all national institutions which have contracts and agreements, in addition to the various ministries, including the Interior Ministry, by sending a special bulletin with “the character of an emergency”, warning of the occurrence of an active and temporary turmoil, but the authorities’ apparent neglect is repeated in every similar occasion.

A lot of people fear the return of floods amid a lack of exceptional measures to reduce any expected bad consequences of rainfall, or even interaction by municipal officials, in light of the absence of any initiative or awareness campaigns by the authorities, in terms of clearing gutters and valleys and purification of water canalization, in order to avoid floods’ consequences, which is repeated in every rainfall season, despite the fact that the recorded quantity is always less than what is happening in Western countries, where bad weather is not an event due to the intensive preparations for the season and protection plans that were programmed.

All studies indicate that Earth’s climate is abnormal given what is known as the global warming, which reduced the number of seasons from four to two only, hot and cold, to confirm inevitably that Earth is exposed to unusual weather turmoil, like high heat which is directly accompanied by torrential rains in a short time, as what we have seen in recent years, and the best proof of what happened last year, and what is happening since the beginning of October in eastern Algeria, as these forecasts force the officials to take them into account, to move away from the disasters that appear every time due to the bad works and a failure in the performance of duties.
