Belaiz : “Full Integration of part-time workers and salary hikes for local administrative employees”
Algerian Minister of Interior and Local Assemblies, Tayeb Belaiz, has announced the full integration of all part-time workers in permanent jobs in the services linked to the Interior Ministry and salary increases for the benefit of municipal and local administration employees.
Taking the floor on Monday during a plenary session of the national popular assembly or lower house of parliament, Mr Tayeb Belaiz said that those municipal workers now on pre-employment contracts would be allotted permanent jobs adding that significant salary hikes for employees of all local administrative bodies were to be enforced shortly by the relevant authorities.
On a separate question, the Interior and local assemblies Minister, indicated that the allotment of diplomatic passports to the MP’s was still to be decided by the President of the Republic himself adding that this required the issuing of a presidential decree to this effect.
Mr Tayeb Belaiz further assured that the biometric passports delivered to the Algerian citizens would be generalized by the end of the year 2014.
“The national biometry center will be bolstered with the necessary human and material means in order to allow it to deliver about 18 thousand biometric passports per day starting from next March 2014”, the Interior Minister underscored.
