Head of the Algerian Popular Movement, Amara Ben Younes, announced hissupport for the President Bouteflika, if he will run for a fourth termin the upcoming presidential elections, and justified his positionwith the former the former harmonious trends of his party with thepresident, by supporting him the previous terms, as well as hiscurrent location in the government of Sellal, which is working on theimplementation of that program.

BenYounes asserted on Friday, at a press conference on the sidelines

of the session of the National Council of the Popular Movement in

Tipaza, that his party will support the President Bouteflika, for a

fourth term in the of the presidential elections, adding that the

movement has three options, either to support Bouteflika, or to start

an alliance with the democratic forces, or put forward a candidate for

the Popular Movement, and on the position of determining the

presidential terms, Ben Younes explained that this is linked to the

specificity of each country, and to identify a presidential term is

not a criterion for true democracy.

In response to a question about resignations of heads of some parties

like Ouyahia, Ait Ahmed, Said Sadi, and the status of Belkhadem in

FLN, Ben Younes said, it would be a major political development, and

its impacts on the political scene will be larger during the year

2013, but he did not find clearer explanations to that, and explained

that internal problems are likely to be one of the main reasons,

because the reasons are different but the result is the same.
