Bessalah: “Our sole interlocutor for the buying out of Djezzy is Orascom Telecom Algeria”

The Minister of posts, information technologies and communication, Hamid Bessalah, has declared that the Algerian Government is discussing with “Orascom Telecom Algeria” and not with “Orascom Telecom Holding” as part of the ongoing negotiations on the repurchase by the state of the Algerian mobile telephony subsidiary “Djezzy” of the Egyptian Orascom Group.

• In a statement to the press yesterday on the sidelines of the 7^th edition of the MED – IT exhibition now taking place in Algiers, Hamid Bessalah urged on the occasion the Egyptian Group to confirm, through a public press release, the cessation of its negotiations with the South African operator MTN on the selling of Djezzy.
