Bosnian justice opens investigation on four Guantanamo Algerian detainees

Bosnian judiciary opened investigation on the former Bosnian prime minister’s role “Zladco Lagumgia” in illegal expelling of four Bosnians, with Algerian origins, and enabling the U.S. administration to detain them in Guantanamo in January 2002.

  • According to the AFP, “ Tomislav Ludov” who was a minister of interior in the Bosnian prime minister era, who was at the head of the Bosnian government between 2001 and 2002, on charges of violating four people’s freedoms- according to a statement issue by the court of “Sarajevo”.
  • One of the four arrested men “Boumedien Lakhdare” got the right to veto his arrest in front of an American civil court, opening the door for the rest of detainees.
