Bouteflika: “Algerian-French Cooperation Is A Model Of Good International Relationships”

Cooperation between Algeria and France should serve as a model for the good Regional and Euro-Mediterranean relationships, President Abdelaziz Bouteflika said, on Saturday, in a congratulatory cable that he sent to his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, on the National Day of the French Republic, July,14, of each year.

President Abdelaziz Bouteflika asserted that strengthening the cooperation between Algeria and France is worthy of being a model for the region and the Euro-Mediterranean countries.

“I am very pleased with the French people celebrating their national day of July,14, and convey to you on behalf of the government and the people, and express my warm congratulations and my best wishes to see you enjoying good health, success and prosperity of the French people”, Bouteflika added.

“I express my satisfaction at the steady development of our relationships and assure you of my commitment to continue with you the joint work that started years ago in order to achieve an exceptional bilateral partnership that will live up to the expectations and ambitions of our two friendly countries”.

The President of the Republic commended the visit of friendship and work by Emmanuel Macron to Algeria, describing it as “the new and promising impetus for our relationship, thus strengthening the cooperation that is worthy of becoming a role model for the region and the Euro-Mediterranean relationships”.

The Algerian president assured his French counterpart that “the upcoming meetings that will bring together the two countries, especially the meeting of the high-level joint governmental committee, will be a qualitative step on the road of strategic partnership that the two countries seek to achieve”.
