Bouteflika appoints Setif’s prefect in Algiers

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika conducted new appointments on Thursday among prefects. Of them, the prefect of the province of Setif (east of Algiers) Abdelkader Zoukh was appointed in Algiers to succeed Mohamed Adou Kebir who would have been assigned to hold a diplomatic position.

According to sources, Adrar’s prefect Abdelhafid Sassi was transferred to Tlemcen to succeed Abdelouahab Nouri who was appointed as agriculture minister. El Oued’s prefect Mohamed Mounib Sindid was transferred to Annaba to succeed the new delegate minister to repair public service Mohamed Ghazi.

Bechar’s prefect Abdelghani Zaalane was transferred to Oran to succeed health minister Abdelmalek Boudiaf while Mostaghanem’s prefect Hocine Wadeh was transferred to Constantine to succeed vocational training minister Nourredine Badaoui.

The reshuffle also touched three delegate prefects in Algiers as they were promoted to prefects. Tlemcen and Bouira’s Secretaries General were promoted to delegate prefects in Algiers as well.

 

Earlier in May, a reshuffle was conducted among prefects of many southern provinces.
