Bouteflika mediates between Ghannouchi and Sebsi

President Bouteflika received the former Tunisian Prime Minister Badji Kaid Sebsi, after 24 hours of receiving Anahda leader Rached Ghannouchi, as sources indicate that the President Bouteflika, has the task to accomplish the mediation between the two parties, to help resolve the acute political crisis in Tunisia.

A telegram to the Algerian News Agency, said that the meeting of Bouteflika with Badji Kaid Sebsi, discussed the distinguished brotherly relations between the two neighboring countries and the need to take everything that would develop and deepen them in all areas.

Kaid Sebsi also told the President Bouteflika about the ongoing efforts to achieve the requirements of the transitional phase in Tunis to reach out to safety, as he addressed to the situation in the region.

President Bouteflika exploits his excellent relationships with Ghannouchi and Sebsi to resolve the differences between them, and push Tunisia to get out of trouble of the acute political crisis to the completion of the democratic transition, and access to the elections’ stage.

President Bouteflika has personal relationships with the head of Nahda movement in Tunisia, Rached Ghannouchi, which extend to decenies, as he has distinctive ties with the former Tunisian Prime Minister Badji Kaid Sebsi, that extend to the seventies, when Bouteflika was Foreign Minister, and has a personal relationships with Sebsi, as this contributed in collecting financial assistance from Algeria in favor of Tunisia worth $100 million, including $ 50 million in the form of a gift, in October 2011.
