Bushra plays the role of ‘Praxa’ at the Opera House

According to the London daily Elaph, the artist Bushra starred in the musical “Praxa” at the Egyptian Opera House from 19 to 29 July.

 

  • The play, set in the city of Athens in 400 BCE, was created by the writer Tawfiq Al Hakim and is an adaptation of a Greek comedy written by Aresto Fines in 390 BCE.
  • The play is directed by Nader Salah Al Deen and is the first production by the theater group ‘Tytro.’
  •  Bushra plays the role of Praxa, who leads a women’s revolution.
  • The Athenian women go at midnight dressed as men to change the ruling party in the Parliament and to give more power to female citizens.
  •  Production of the play cost more than 2 million Egyptian pounds, second only to the opera “Ayda.”
  • There are 150 artists that performed in “Praxa.”
