CAF Champions League: , Entente Setif, JS Kabylie, Al Ahly in last 16
Football – Egypt's Al Ahly, Algeria's Entente Setif and JS Kabylie as well as Sudan's Al-Merrikh are among the teams that cruised into the round of 16 of the African Champions League this weekend.

Al Ahly, six-time African champion, defeated Zimbabwe’s Gunners FC 2-nil on Friday to cancel a first-leg deficit and progress.
Algeria’s Entente Setif also progressed on 7-0 aggregate, after a 5-nil win Friday over Cameroon’s Union Douala.
JS Kabylie, also of Algeria, beat Tunisia’s Club Africain 1-0 to grab a 2-1 aggregate victory.
Sudanese giant Al-Merrikh and Libyan champion Al-Ittihad also advanced. Both reached the last 16 after convincing results on Saturday.
Al-Merrikh beat Gazelle FC of Chad to advance 3-1 on aggregate, while Ittihad progressed 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in thw two legs.
Also, Botswana’s Gaborone United had little trouble in overpowering Mauritian minnow Starlight Curepipe 6-nil on aggregate to advance. Gaborone United won 3-nil at home in Friday’s second leg.
Other clubs advancing are former African champion Esperance of Tunisia, which beat a ASFA Yennenga of Burkina Faso 3-2 to qualify 7-2 on aggregate; and Madagascan champion Ajesaia which lost despite a lone goal victory over Egyptian side, Ismaily, which reached the round of 16 3-2 on aggregate.
