After remaining on the doldrums for so many years, the Algerian national football squad bounces back on the world football scene following their praiseworthy performance achieved so far in the qualifying round for the 2010 World cup competition. This has prompted the French TV Channel Canal + to devote a 26 minute report on the “renaissance” of the Algeria football squad ahead of the crucial World cup qualifier versus Egypt slated for November 14th in Cairo.
-
Following the huge success of the recent laudable TV report on the Algeria line-up notably on “youtube”, “facebook” and “daily motion”, the French Channel Canal + is now intent on compiling a second report on the Fennecs in expectation of the decisive Egypt-Algeria confrontation in Cairo stadium.
-
In a statement to Echorouk’s reporter in Paris, Messaoud Ben Terki who is the anchorman of this sports program on Canal+ said that the great success achieved by the October TV report on the Algerian “Fennecs” was clear evidence of the strong comeback of Algerian football on the international scene.
-
He also said that a Canal + team would be duly present in Cairo before November 14th to prepare a new 26 minute report on the Algerian squad including analyses and commentaries from renowned coaches and sports figures.
-
This second TV report will be broadcast on the Canal + channel shortly, he indicated.
-
He further brought out the salient importance of the upcoming Egypt-Algeria World cup qualifier for the news media in Africa and in Europe, stressing to this effect that most sports analysts suggest that the Algeria squad had greater chances than their Egyptian opposite numbers to snatch the qualifying ticket for the 2010 World cup tournament in South Africa.
