Candidates for April elections to deposit their files

Candidates for April elections have only five days to collect more signatures required or conditioned in the file to run for the President of Algerian Republic. 

• According to some people collection of signatures reached an advanced step and finished for some candidates, while some others exceeded the required number.
• 18 politicians willing to compete withdrew on January 8, subscription forms to collect signatures. Minister of Interior announced recently that more than 3 million documents were delivered for them, after announcing start of the first phase for the presidential election. It also announced seven figures most of thme party leaders, withdrew subscriptions forms two day after the opening of the competition.
• The Minister of Interior mentioned names of Louiza Hanoune, Mousa Touati, Ali Zaghdoud, Ali Fouzi Rebaine, Belaid Mohand Ossaid, Amar Bou Acha and Mohamed Hadef, knowing that the organic law for elections required at least 600 signatures for each elected at the National, local or regional Councils in at least 25 provinces, or 75.000 individual signatures in at least 25 out of 48 provinces.
