Samer Zaher
Few days only after his rehabilitation by the Egyptian judicial authorities, the president of the Egyptian Football Federation Samer Zaher has declared that he wouldn’t mind travelling with the delegation of the Egyptian club “Al Ahly†to Algeria as part of the third round of the African Champions League due to take place in Tizi Ouzou, 100 KMS east of Algiers, versus the Algerian club JS Kabylie.

Samer Zaher has indicated that he will send an invitation to his Algerian counterpart Mohammed Raouraoua and the members of the Algerian Football Federation to move to Cairo at earliest “ I will ask Raouraoua and his assistants at the Federal Council to move to Cairo and will organize a meeting between the members of the two federations in a move to cleanse the air and fold the page for real”.

The conflict between the two countries heightened after the defeat of the Algerian squad in Cairo 2-0 last November, where the bus of the Algerian delegation was attacked with stones by zealous Egyptian fans causing injuries among the players.
