CIA tried to recruit the two Algerian victims: Minister of Interior

CIA’s officer, Andrew Warren tried to recruit the two Algerian women in the CIA which justified its presence in Algeria as coordination with the Algerian security authorities in the follow up of Al Qaida’s remnants, says Algerian Minster of Interior, Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni.

  • “The drug rape incident was a blackmail act to recruit the two Algerian women in the CIA, particularly since Warren used camera and mobile to photograph them in shameful situations,” Zerhouni added.
  • “Algerian government can’t know the real causes behind the rape incident for many reasons, first because the two victims did not bring official complaints for the Algerian authorities and they both have foreign nationalities, one is Spanish and the other is German. The second thing, CIA’s Warren was granted diplomatic immunity, meaning that our justice can’t follow him or launch an investigation, according to the international convention”.
  • Algerian observers think that the Algerian government can open investigation in the case, particularly since the drug rape incident took place on its territories.
  • Previously, the two Algerian women approached the US embassy in Algiers and accused Warren of using drugs in order to facilitate his crime “rape” inside his residence in Algiers when he was a CIA station chief in Algeria. However Warren denied allegation and told the U.S investigators that the two Algerian women were engaged in consensual sexual intercourse.
  • Algerian citizens never heard about this case until the “Washington Post” published the news last Thursday.
  • Such an incident may open eyes of the Algerian government on the foreign diplomatic missions, and will be a good justification for tightening control over some foreign diplomats, who use international conventions as a means to achieve their goals.
