Collective registration of military personnel does not oppose law, Interior Minister says

Interior Ministry put 700.000.00 DZD at the disposal of the National Committee for Monitoring the upcoming local elections on 29 November, to enable the Commission to perform the tasks that are assigned to it, Interior Minister, Dahou Ould Kablia said.

Interior Minister explained that the observed value of the Commission will be spent under several aspects, including accommodation, catering, transport and processing Committee’s headquarters that are distributed across all wilayas and municipalities of the country, asserting that the committee’s members will not receive a fee, in accordance with Article IV of the law.

In response to a question by Echorouk, on the repercussions of the 7%, that are applied to local elections, in view of what happened in the legislative elections, Ould Kablia asserted that the government was intending to review this situation, but was unable because the adoption of a new elections law needs the passage of one year, promising to reconsider the law in the future.

The Interior Minister accused the parties which controlled a majority in the National People’s Assembly, in the elapsed legislative custody 2007/2012, represented by FLN and RND, but without naming it, to prevail partisan narrow interest at the expense of the electoral interest, against the backdrop of lifting the proportion that was within 5%.
