Compared to Americans and English, Algerian fans bought only 4300 tickets to attend World Cup matches

The General Secretary of the International Federation of Football, French Jerome Falk, said Algerians bought until now 4300 tickets to attend Algerian matches in the World Cup South Africa that will start on June 11.

  • Falk said in statements Sunday that the number of Algerians who want to attend matches of the World Cup modest compared to the rest of fans of the three teams, England, USA and Slovenia.
  •
  • According to figures by Jerome Falk, fans of the U.S team bought over 110.000 tickets while English fans 79.000 tickets.
  •
  • Algerian share is expected to notice a large increase since most of Algerian immigrants bought tickets outside this share, as some agencies talk about the possibility that 5000 Algerian fans will travel to Nelson Mandela’s country.
  •
  • Jerome Falk think that the cause behind the decline of the sale of tickets to attend World Cup games is due to the sale via internet, as African countries do not have enough technologies and magnetic cards, as well as their expensive cost in these countries.
