Conflicting Information about Release of the Algerian Diplomats

Three vehicles accompanied by an Algerian ambulance crossed on Monday morning the Azawad region in northern Mali, Echorouk sources said.

The same sources added that a helicopter landed in the region, amid secrecy on information relating to the breakthrough of the kidnap by the Movement of Jihad and Tawhid (MUJAO) since last April, and which still refuse to free them untill getting‭ the 15 ‭million euros ransom‭.

According to Echorouk sources, this field movement of the vehicles on the Algerian borders with Mali, at the time Algeria announced, a few days ago the closure of its borders with the Azawad, except for humanitarian cases.

News that was reported by some of the sites close to the terrorist group Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, which were based on the sources, that were described as well-informed, confirm that the kidnappers will release three diplomats and retain the Consul and three of his assistants.

The data indicate that the Algerian convoy ensured the transfer the released diplomats, pending confirmation ‭ ‬ ‭ ‬ by ‭the Algerian Foreign Affairs Ministry‭. ‬

Same sources asserted that the release of the three Algerian diplomats, waiting for the release of the rest of detainees, is the fruit of an agreement by Ansareddine Movement, which mediated in the negotiations to free the Algerian hostages weeks ago, and before the end of the deadline set by the Movement of Tawhid and Djihad to resolve the problem on the eighth of last June, but the special circumstances that characterised the Azawad region prevented its application, which prompted Algeria to send threats which reached the military intervention in the region, in case this problem is not solved, and which constitues a major embarrassment.
