Counterterrorism: Algerian-UK bilateral contact group to meet on Monday and Tuesday in London

ALGIERS-The second meeting of the contact group on bilateral cooperation between Algeria and UK in the counterterrorism and related security issues will be held Monday and Tuesday in London, a source close to the Algerian delegation said Sunday.

This mechanism acts to structure the dialogue and cooperation between Algeria and the United Kingdom on all matters related to the fight against trans-national terrorism and identify how to deepen bilateral cooperation in its political, diplomatic, legal, financial, operational and technical assistance, sources said.

On the occasion of this meeting, “both parties will, mainly, assess and exchange information and analysis on developments in the counterterrorism in both countries and its projection on the regional and international environment,” they added.
